1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Wallet - Digital Card Holder application (Package Name: com.secured.digital.wallet.cards), hereafter referred to as "the App", you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
The App is a digital vault utility designed to allow users to scan, locally store, and organize digital representations of physical documents such as identity cards, financial cards, and medical records.
The App is not a payment gateway or an official government wallet. It cannot be used to process financial transactions or digitally transmit official government credentials.
Local Storage Only for Documents: While the App uses internet connectivity for analytics and advertising, your scanned documents and images are strictly stored locally on your device. We do not provide cloud backup, synchronization, or remote data recovery services for your documents.
3. User Responsibilities and Device Security
Because the App stores sensitive personal data strictly on your local device, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Device Security: You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your mobile device, including setting up device-level passwords, PINs, or biometric locks.
App Authentication: You are responsible for keeping your App PIN confidential. If you share your PIN or device access with others, they may be able to access your stored documents.
Data Loss: Because the App does not back up your documents to external servers, if your device is lost, stolen, damaged, or if you uninstall the App, all stored documents and data will be permanently lost. You are strictly responsible for maintaining physical or alternative backups of your original documents.
Lawful Use: You agree to only scan and store documents that you legally own or have explicit permission to possess. You must not use the App to store fraudulent, forged, or illegal documents.
4. Third-Party Services, Advertisements, and Telemetry
The App utilizes internet-connected third-party services to support its operation, provide analytics, and generate revenue:
Advertisements: The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. By using the App, you consent to the display of these ads. Ad personalization may rely on your device's Advertising ID (AD_ID), which you can manage in your device settings.
Analytics and Stability: The App integrates Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, and Performance Monitoring to collect diagnostic data, crash logs, and usage metrics to help us improve the App.
Scanning Technology: The App utilizes on-device Google Play Services (specifically ML Kit) for document scanning and text recognition.
Your use of these specific features is subject to the respective terms and privacy policies of Google and Firebase.
5. App Permissions
To provide its intended functionality, including overlay features, push notifications, and advertising, the App requests specific device permissions (e.g., SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW, POST_NOTIFICATIONS, INTERNET). By granting these permissions, you authorize the App to operate as designed. You may revoke these permissions at any time via your device settings, but doing so may limit or break App functionality.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
All rights, title, and interest in and to the App, including its codebase, design, and branding, are the exclusive property of the App's developer. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from the App.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, completely secure, or continuously available.
8. Limitation of Liability
Under no circumstances shall the developer, its affiliates, or its agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the App. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of personal data/documents, loss of device access, or identity theft resulting from compromised device security, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
9. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which details how we handle local document storage versus diagnostic telemetry and advertising data. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Modifications to the Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting within the App or on our applicable store listing. Your continued use of the App following the posting of revised Terms means that you accept and agree to the changes.
